When will I receive my tickets?
Your tickets will be sent via the delivery method you selected when making your ticket purchase.
Tickets will start being sent out from early October onwards. You will receive an email when your tickets have been posted and you can expect them within 5 business days from then. If you have not received your tickets within this time, then please contact GreenTix. Please don't log a request asking where your tickets are unless you have received the email notifying you they've been sent. Once you have received your tickets take special care of them, do not lose them! Lost or stolen tickets CANNOT BE REPLACED, so keep them in a safe place!!
Where is the festival located?
Shine On is located in the foothills of the Pyrenees Ranges in western Victoria, neat the town of Beaufort.
When can we get in and when does the music start?
Midday Friday 18th – Gates open. Do not arrive before this time unless you want to wait for hours on end in an empty paddock!
5pm Friday 18th – Music and other activities start.
5pm Sunday 20th – All scheduled performances and stages finish.
Midday Monday 21st - November – Site must be vacated.
Is camping included in the ticket price?
Yes! This is a camping festival and to the get the most out of it we recommend you camp onsite. There is a large section of the site reserved for camping and you are able to camp next to your car.
Can I bring my Caravan, RV, Bus or Camping Trailer?
Yes you can bring your caravan, campervan, motorhome, Rv, bus, camping trailer and and pretty much any other sort of vehicle you are comfortable sleeping in. Please note that there is no powered sites in the general camping area and generators are not allowed to be used at any time. Running water is not available on site, with the exception of free drinking water available throughout the site.
With the possibility of wet weather limiting vehicle access throughout the site you may be directed to where you can camp and park your vehicle.
Please remember that only gas stoves or appliances that have been professionally installed and certified can be used inside any of the above mentioned portable homes. Mobile cookers just sitting on a bench inside your caravan are not allowed to be used.
Just keep in mind that gas bottles are restricted as they can be a fire hazard on site and any bottle fixed in or onto a mobile home must be locked and secured. If the gas bottle is removable or easily tampered with, you should leave it at home or you will be required to leave it at the front gate, in the designated area.
What time do we have to leave/when does the venue close?
Due to permit conditions, we'll have to insist on patrons leaving the event site prior to 12pm on Monday November 21st 2011. Please ensure you clean your campsite and then take your rubbish home with you. There is a recycling depot located at the exit point of the venue, where you can obtain your bag refund. Please use the garbage bags you were provided with by Festival staff. Fresh garbage bags can be collected from your campsite warden, The Loot Ute team or the Info Tent.
If you have any doubts about whether you are fit to drive, please refrain from leaving the venue and seek advice from staff on site.
Is there an ATM on site?
There is no ATM or any facility for obtaining cash on site.

How do I apply to VOLUNTEER at Shine On?
It takes an extraordinary number of dedicated people to put on a festival such as Shine On and we really appreciate volunteers who can assist us with all the various tasks. You will be required to pay for your ticket in advance and you will be reinbursed when you have finished your shifts. Information on how to apply is available here.
How do I apply for an ARTS GRANT at Shine On?
We would like to offer funding to anyone out there with great ideas! There is $15,000 worth of grants available for the best projects. Shine On is dedicated to supporting artists of various styles to help them achieve the successful development and exhibition of their ideas. All types and media will be considered, as will projects of all sizes, although larger sized art will be considered favorably! Click here for more information.

Who do I get in touch with for PRESS/MEDIA related queries?
For all press, media, marketing and publicity related queries, please contact us here. Only requests received prior to the last day in October will be considered. Accreditation is granted to critics and journalists covering music, arts and culture on a regular basis. Accreditation is granted only to professionals assigned by recognised media to cover the festival. Freelancers will not be accredited unless they are assigned by recognised media and meet all other requirements.
Is the event family friendly/ Can I bring the kids?
Yes, Shine On welcomes all people young and old! There will be an area of the camping ground designated as a quiet zone/family friendly camping. Please note that all patrons under 18 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times when onsite.
Are there Pass Outs?
We do not encourage people leaving the site, it creates unpleasant dust for the rest of the patrons and increases traffic danger. However passouts will be given if necessary.
Patrons with special needs. Is there wheelchair access / facilities?
Our policy at Shine On festival is to give the disabled - with or without helpers - the opportunity to participate at Shine On.
Yes, there is wheelchair access to all parts of the site. There will also be centrally located wheelchair toilet. There will be a facility to recharge wheelchairs on site. Shine On offers free entry to carers or essential companions of those with disabilities. To ensure that you get the best possible access and to take advantage of the carers ticket offer, please get in touch well before the event here.
When will the line up schedule be announced?
The full event schedule will be made available on the website around two weeks before the event. Subscribe to our mailing list to receive to get updated for when it becomes available.
Is It Safe To Leave My Valuables In My Tent?
No, theft can be a problem at any large event. There are still plenty of thieves in this world who steal other people's belongings. Leave valuables in the locked boot of your car and only bring to the festival what is really necessary. All valuables remain the responsibility of the camper.
What kind of items are NOT permitted at the Festival?
For the safety and general enjoyment there are certain items that are not permitted at the event under any circumstances. Vehicles will be searched for
- glass bottle
- fireworks
- weapons
- gas bottles
- generators
- pets and barbeques.
Please do not bring these items with you. Please refer to the tickets for full terms and conditions.
Is Shine On festival a BYO event?
Shine On festival is a BYO event, although we strongly discouraged excessive amounts of alcohol being consumed or brought into the event . NO GLASS is allowed and if glass is found in your vehicle you will be asked to forfeit the bottles or otherwise you will be refused entry. We recommend that you decant any liquid purchased in glass into plastic bottles before you leave home.
Shine On is an all ages event and we ask that you respect your neighbors and the fact that their will be children at the festival and drink responsibly. Cars are not to be driven around the site unless you are entering or leaving the festival. We recommend that you have a designated driver for your safe trip home from the festival.
