Shine On is moving north for the year to be part of a very special event, the Eclipse 2012 Festival. Located a couple of hours from Cairns in North Queensland, this is a one-off event organised to witness one of natures most amazing spectacles - a total solar eclipse! We are proud to be working with Outllook Festival (Croatia), Bushweek, Kuranda Roots and Island Vibe in presenting the Earth Stage. This is the stage line-up so far: 

 Shine On is also a partner in the Sky Stage with Subsonic Music Festival from Sydney and Bachstelzen from Berlin / Fusion Festival showcasing cutting edge sounds we love from across the globe in techno, progressive and tech house.   

The festival runs from the 10th to 16th November, head to www.eclipse2012.com for details. As such, Shine On will be taking a year off its Victorian Festival this year so as not to exhaust resources and divide our crowd. Thank you to everyone who has shown such support and love for Shine On after only two years. Fear not, plans are already well underway for a Victorian Shine On in 2013 as well as some other exciting events and projects we are working on to bring you the best in roots, bass, glitch and techno music from here and around the world! We are excited to add 'A Guy Called Gerald' (UK), Siopis (Get Physical) and Komaton to our already massive lineup of bands, live electronica and DJs!  Many acts have been added to our local lineup also, keep an eye on the artist section for more info!

Shine On returns for 2011 bigger, better and brighter - a festival of music, arts, camping, dancing and more. A wide selection of sounds and culture from around the country and across the globe join together in the Victorian bush to celebrate the onset of summer!

A unique mix of bands, dj and live acts provide a soundtrack ranging from roots & reggae to hip-hop and glitch, folk thru to progressive, tech-house and more! Not just the same boring over-hyped bands of the moment, but true musical legends, pioneers and sonic magicians. Not to mention an assortment of acts you've probably not familiar with - bedroom geniuses, the legends of tomorrow, the little surprises that make great festivals so special. 

Experience a weekend of arts and culture featuring three stages of programmed music, performance, bands, djs, live electronica, arts installations, markets and an array of strange and wonderful happenings.

Shine on 2010 was a memorable experience for all involved, the most extreme of conditions was met with the most extreme determination to party ever witnessed at a festival dealing with such torrential conditions! We were overwhelmed with the positive feedback and enthusiasm everyone showed and couldn't resist the cries for Shine On's return.

A new site 2 hours from Melbourne will ensure that Shine On 2011 will be ready for a seriously fun weekend.

Second Round of Acts Online Now....

Thank you for your patience ladies and gentlemen, we have just posted a very exciting array of top notch Australian and International acts in the artist section of the website.

The response to our first round release has been great, we only have a limited amount of Early Bird tickets left, we suggest you move on these before the end of the week. They won't last long. We've given you all a head start - we haven't released information regarding our major headliner to the street press yet so move fast for those cheapies!
